Episode Details

Supernatural Season 3 wrap-up 💝 Berly and LA dig into the season three special features, the behind-the-scenes stories, and their favorite episodes of the season on Denim-wrapped Nightmares, a Supernatural rewatch podcast. Plus, our predictions for season four (and Berly's VERY excited about one new character in particular).

Season three was a short one, thanks to the 2007–2008 writers' strike, but it brought a huge leap in visual effects and cinematography, from the time loops of Mystery Spot to the dreamscapes of Dream a Little Dream of Me. In the special features, the writers talk about introducing Ruby and Bela, and how tough it is to bring female characters into the Winchesters' world. Which raises the question: where ARE Jo and Ellen?!

Episode Highlights:

• Why Dean faced himself instead of Dad (Jeffrey Dean Morgan)
• Lilith was almost a grown woman, until the writers decided nothing is creepier than a little girl (except one with a British accent)
• The executives' note to add more color, from DP Serge Ladouceur (aka the sweetness)
• Kim Manners' spaghetti Western vision for The Magnificent Seven
• The Impala's 52-foot jump (that looked like a speed bump)
• Jared's Blue Steel face, still going strong in the season three bloopers
• Our running count: blood splooges vs. Winchesters tied up (it's close)
• Why we finally watched Kings of Con (no regrets)
• Our predictions for season four

Our season three favorites: LA's number one is Ghostfacers (so unique, and sweet Corbett!), and she also love Dream a Little Dream of Me (just beautifully shot). Berly's top two are Fresh Blood (Kim Manners and Sterling K. Brown, no notes) and Mystery Spot (the Trickster, obviously).
