  • Brenda: We here at On the Road with Mickey would like to take a moment to salute Dorothy “Pat” Rudd, who was honored as the Veteran of the Day at the Magic Kingdom during the Flag Retreat on June 7th. At 101 years old, Pat is a World War II veteran for the US Navy, and to this day can still be found volunteering at local VA hospitals in Central Florida.
  • Sophie: Coming to Disney+ August 23rd: Star Wars: Ahsoka!
  • Mike: Sad news out of Animal Kingdom Park as we learned that Dugan, one of the white rhinos at the park, passed away on June 1st. He was born in 1995. He is survived by Ranger, Mylo, and Logan.

  • Before we get started on Mike’s recap of the Pixie Vacations WDW FAM that he was on, we have a couple of answers on favorite quick service restaurants at the resorts:
    • Sheila listed her favorites: “Value Resort – I have never stayed at one, but, I did visit you and have breakfast at the POP once and the waffle bounty platter is great. Moderate – Center town market has some great choices. The avocado toast is amazing. Deluxe – This one is hard because there are a lot of great choices; but I have to go with Riviera Primo Piatto. They have the best croque madame and I like to dip mine in berry jam. I only listed breakfast because when I do stay at a resort that is when I eat quick service.
