A prophetic word is hearing or receiving something from God for someone else and then communicating it to them. It is hearing God’s heart for them. We emphasize that a prophetic word should not replace hearing God for yourself but often confirms what God has already revealed to you. This episode unpacks 1 Corinthians 14:3 - that a prophetic word is strengthening, encouraging, and comforting. An important outcome from this is that it will bear good fruit. We briefly address what to do if we hear something negative for someone. As usual, Gary and Jane share personal examples.
