Episode Details

Courtney fell in love and got married to a wonderful Christian man. 

But soon after marriage, she found out he had a hidden life of dark, sexual fantasies and wanted to have that conversation, etc. in their bedroom during, what should have been, holy intimacy. She wanted to please him and was conflicted with his desires.

He was miserable and would guilt her about it. Eventually, she hated him and refused all forms of intimacy.

She felt like she was in a fog of disillusionment, sadness, and isolation. 

She felt like she must be the only one going through this. She was desperate.

Other counselors said they couldn't help her if he wasn't willing to be a part of it. 

She found Delight Your Marriage podcast and heard something different. She ended up bingeing them for two weeks and then took the courage to have a Clarity Call. 

She said how healing even that was. And, made the decision to dive into the coaching program, "Delighted Wife."

She has her own business, and it was her busy season, so she was really nervous that she wouldn't be able to make the time. But it was like God just opened up her schedule once she committed. 

Week by week, God started healing her heart. Sometimes it felt like they went back a few steps, and it was really hard. But she gained insights into how to heal the past and productively fix the brokenness of their marriage.

Now her marriage (just 14 weeks later) is truly unrecognizable. She "longs to respect and admire him." (really!) 

Their intimacy is wonderful -- just as she had always dreamed of before she even got married!

From a man who was critical and never satisfied with what she would give...

He said, "This is the most fulfilled I've ever been in my whole life."

God be praised!
