An additional 150-megawatt of energy storage capacity will be added to Victoria’s grid thanks to a new battery located at the former coal-fired power station at Hazelwood.
The Hazelwood Battery Energy Storage System, or HBESS, was officially launched on Wednesday, with "Gippsland Perspective" host David Braithwaite there for the event.
