Hoover's Gap | Portland Harbor | Second Donaldsonville | Goodrich's Landing | Hanover
This week, we have five short battles as move closer to the huge battle of Gettysburg. First up, it's the battle of Hoover's Gap on June 24th, 1863 where Union General Rosecrans drives General Bragg out of Tennessee. We move to June 27th and the battle of Portland Harbor where Confederates try and destroy the area's commercial shipping capability. On June 28th, the Confederates try and take back Donaldsonville, Louisiana. At Goodrich's Landing on June 29th-30th, the Rebels hope to disrupt Grant's supply chain and relieve the pressure at Vicksburg. Finally, at the battle of Hanover on June 30th, as J.E.B. Stuart tries to reconnect with Lee's main army, he runs into a Union regiment.
