In the early morning hours of Nov. 13, 1974, one Amityville house in Long Island, New York was set on a course of infamy. It became a ghastly crime scene, when Ronald DeFeo Jr., with a rifle, killed his parents and four siblings while they slept.

But it wasn't until after the Lutz family moved into the house, 1 month later in December of 1975 that the Amityville Horror is said to have truly begun. George and Kathy Lutz bought their dream house — but fled in terror within 28 days after incidents occurred that defied logic and reason.
