8. Navigating Postpartum Anxiety & Stone's Birth Story

Published 3 years, 2 months ago
Description

In this episode, Olivia turns back the clock and shares this special recording from when she was 4 months postpartum (she is currently 8 months pp now), to reflect on her newly postpartum self and Stone's birth story! She opens up about her struggles with anxiety, especially how it shows up during postpartum, and how the simplest of things feels like big wins for her at this time. While anxiety is present in most days for her, she has recognized her patterns and shares some tools that have helped her move through the fluctuations of it.

She also shares for the first time about her pregnancy and the birth story of her youngest son, Stone! Birth stories are such beautiful ways to reflect, share, and bring light to a mothers experience. Birth is the ultimate test of trust in your body, baby, healthcare providers, and most times things don't go to plan but that doesn't mean you are not capable of a strong empowered birth. We navigate it best we can and having space to share and reflect on it brings healing, laughter, and recognition to the mother. For Olivia this was a whirlwind of a labor and delivery, much different then her other two births, so stay tuned to hear how Stone almost was born in the car, and how he ultimately made his entrance into the world.

Whether you are a parent or not, this is a relatable story that sheds light around the struggles, joys, uncertainties of life, birth, and everything in between. Enjoy!
