AAPI Heratage Month: Māhū & Kumu Hina

Published 3 years, 1 month ago
Description

This week, Madigan tells the story of the legendary māhū in ancient Hawaii, and how a modern māhū by the name of Hinaleimoana Wong-Kalu (Kuma Hina) has brought back Hawaiian culture to the newer generations.

For this episode, I used audio clips from the 2011 documentary Kumu Hina, directed byJoe Wilson, Dean Hamer. I do not own any of this audio, and all rights are given to the creators of the film.
