Her research examines the effects of physical activity on brain function to promote mental health and cognition in young adults, older adults, and individuals with Alzheimer’s disease. She has won many awards including the Early Researcher Award from the Government of Ontario & the Petro-Canada Young Innovator Award
Jenny Goldfarb [14:57]
Jenny Goldfarb, aka Mrs. Goldfarb, founded Unreal Deli in 2019. As she grew up on the Standard American Diet, she began to learn about the plight of animals on factory farms, leading her to adopt a plant-based diet. Her goal was to recreate a traditional corned beef & make it from beets, chickpeas, tomatoes, & high protein wheat. She then produced her Corn’d Beef Reubans for Delis, Whole Foods, and Shark Tank. She then started making turkey and steak slices (coming soon).

He has more than 30 years of experience in the genomics, pharmaceutical, and biotechnology industries, leading him to join Karius in 2020 and push them into their next growth phase. Previously was CEO of Myriad Genetics, a molecular diagnostic company. There, he launched new products and scaled new business units. Also held leadership positions at Novartis, Sanofi-Aventis, Nektar Therapeutics, and Pfizer
Karen Blackwell [43:18]
She is the founder and CEO of Sage & Alms™, a benefit corporation with the brands Kanda™ Chocolates and DewBurst™. With servant leadership as her North Star, Karen created a benefit corporation to further illustrate her commitment to social and environmental justice. As CEO, Karen develops and executes on strategic business models through global partnerships; with a current focus on Ghana.
