WOT 145: Alberta’s Rocky Mountains and Experiential Learning with Marc D’Astous

Published 3 years, 3 months ago
Description

In this episode we WadeOutThere with Marc D’Astous from Dieppe, New Brunswick.
Marc picked up fly fishing in the Rocky Mountains of Alberta Canada, while mountain climbing and serving in the Canadian Infantry, exploring the many surrounding streams and lakes as he explored the mountains.

When Marc moved back to his childhood home of New Brunswick, he continued fly fishing and dived deeper into tying.  Eventually he was selling his flies and guiding in some of the salmon fisheries and trout streams of his youth.

We discuss fly fishing the Rocky Mountains of Alberta, Altlantic Salmon fishing and fly tying in New Brunswick, and Marc shares some lessons and stories of experiential learning.

You can find out more about Marc,  schedule a guided, or check out some of his flies  by reaching out on Instagram at:
