140: Why Keeping Score in Our Relationships Isn't A Winning Strategy

Published 2 years, 10 months ago
Description

We have been wired to keep score from a young age in school and sports. Although it is necessary in a game, more often than not it is not helpful in our relationships. Whether it is our romantic relationships, friendships, work or parenting keeping score is not a winning strategy. When we keep score someone is always on offense and the other is on defense.

In today's episode we encourage you to be on the same team by increasing your awareness of when you are likely to keep score, communicating your needs and approaching your relationships with gratitude.
