The Parable of the Wedding Feast

Matthew 22:1-14

Much about the Kingdom of Heaven is not what we expect. We see this in who responds to heaven’s invitation, which is the gospel of Jesus Christ. Tragically, many reject the invitation. But the least expected respond with joy and attend. This may seem upside down to us, but not to God. As Jesus declared, “I thank you, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, that you have hidden these things from the wise and understanding and revealed them to little children; yes, Father, for such was your gracious will.” (Mt. 11:25-26)
