According to Kevin Acee of the San Diego Union Tribune, the deadline Manny Machado set for extension talks with the Padres has passed. San Diego reportedly made one offer to Machado before the deadline (February 16), which was to add an additional five years ($21 million AAV) on his current five years and $150 million left on his deal after this season. This doesn't seem like good news for Padres fans.
