On the 3rd of May, violent clashes broke out in Manipur between the Meitei and the Kuki community, shortly after a ‘tribal solidarity march’ was organised in the state. These clashes have claimed over 70 lives, have displaced thousands of families, and have further deepened the faultline between these two ethnic communities.
