Matthew 5:5 Blessed are the meek: for they shall inherit the earth. MANY OF US DO HAVE COMPASSION BUT IT ONLY ENDS IN EMPTY SYMPATHY‼️ OUR MEEK SAVIOR HAD PRACTICAL COMPASSION. HE SAW THE SICK AND HE HEALED THEM, HE SAW PEOPLE LIKE SHEEP WITHOUT A SHEPHERD AND HE BECAME THEIR SHEPHERD. HE SAW THE HUNGRY AND HE FEED THEM. EVEN WHILE DYING ON THE CROSS HE PROVIDED FOR HIS WIDOW MOTHER. Matthew 14:14 And Jesus went forth, and saw a great multitude, and was moved with compassion toward them, and he healed their sick. Mark 6:34 And Jesus, when he came out, saw much people, and was moved with compassion toward them, because they were as sheep not having a shepherd: and he began to teach them many things. John 10:14-15 I am the good shepherd, and know my sheep, and am known of mine. 15As the Father knoweth me, even so know I the Father: and I lay down my life for the sheep. Mark 8:1-3 In those days the multitude being very great, and having nothing to eat, Jesus called his disciples unto him, and saith unto them, 2I have compassion on the multitude, because they have now been with me three days, and have nothing to eat: 3And if I send them away fasting to their own houses, they will faint by the way: for divers of them came from far. THE GOSPELS RECORD TWO GREAT MIRACLES OF JESUS NOT FEEDING HIMSELF BUT THE HUNGRY MULTITUDES. THE FEEDING OF THE FIVE THOUSAND AND OF THE FOUR THOUSAND. Mark 6:41-44 And when he had taken the five loaves and the two fishes, he looked up to heaven, and blessed, and brake the loaves, and gave them to his disciples to set before them; and the two fishes divided he among them all. 42And they did all eat, and were filled. 43And they took up twelve baskets full of the fragments, and of the fishes. 44And they that did eat of the loaves were about five thousand men. Mark 8:8-9 So they did eat, and were filled: and they took up of the broken meat that was left seven baskets. 9And they that had eaten were about four thousand: and he sent them away. JESUS DID NOT ONLY FEED THE MULTITUDE HE TOOK CARE OF HIS IMMEDIATE FAMILY. THERE ARE MANY WHO DO GREAT THINGS FOR OUTSIDERS WHILE THEIR OWN FAMILY IS LANGUISHING‼️ “CHARITY BEGINS AT HOME” Mother Teresa  “If you want to change the world, go home and love your family.” John 19:26-27 When Jesus therefore saw his mother, and the disciple standing by, whom he loved, he saith unto his mother, Woman, behold thy son! 27Then saith he to the disciple, Behold thy mother! And from that hour that disciple took her unto his own home. 1 Timothy 5:8 But if any provide not for his own, and specially for those of his own house, he hath denied the faith, and is worse than an infidel. The strongest argument in favor of the gospel is a loving and lovable Christian. – {Ministry of Healing p. 470.1} JOB OF OLD EXEMPLIFIED PRACTICAL COMPASSION AND THOSE THAT HEARD HIS NAME BLESSED HIM. WHAT DO PEOPLE DO WHEN THEY HEAR YOUR NAME? DO THEY BLESS OR CURSE YOU⁉️ Job 29:16 When the ear heard me, then it blessed me; and when the eye saw me, it gave witness to me: 12Because I delivered the poor that cried, and the fatherless, and him that had none to help him. 13The blessing of him that was ready to perish came upon me: and I caused the widow's heart to sing for joy. 14I put on righteousness, and it clothed me: my judgment was as a robe and a diadem. 15I was eyes to the blind, and feet was I to the lame. 16I was a father to the poor: and the cause which I knew not I searched out.
