Matthew 5:5

Blessed are the meek: for they shall inherit the earth. 

MOSES DID NOT REJOICE AT THE MISFORTUNE OF HIS ANTAGONISTIC SISTER WHEN SHE WAS PUNISHED BY GOD BUT RATHER THE MEEK LEADER PRAYED FOR HER HEALING  

Numbers 12:13 

And Moses cried unto the LORD, saying, Heal her now, O God, I beseech thee.

Proverbs 24:17

Rejoice not when thine enemy falleth, and let not thine heart be glad when he stumbleth

Matthew 5:44-45

But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you; 45That ye may be the children of your Father which is in heaven: for he maketh his sun to rise on the evil and on the good, and sendeth rain on the just and on the unjust.

The spirit of hatred and revenge originated with Satan, and it led him to put to death the Son of God. Whoever cherishes malice or unkindness is cherishing the same spirit, and its fruit will be unto death. In the revengeful thought the evil deed lies enfolded, as the plant in the seed. “Whosoever hateth his brother is a murderer: and ye know that no murderer hath eternal life abiding in him.” 1 John 3:15. – {Thoughts from Mount of Blessings p. 56.2}

Leviticus 19:17-18

Thou shalt not hate thy brother in thine heart: thou shalt in any wise rebuke thy neighbour, and not suffer sin upon him. 18¶Thou shalt not avenge, nor bear any grudge against the children of thy people, but thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself: I am the LORD.

Romans 12:19-21

Dearly beloved, avenge not yourselves, but rather give place unto wrath: for it is written, Vengeance is mine; I will repay, saith the Lord. 20Therefore if thine enemy hunger, feed him; if he thirst, give him drink: for in so doing thou shalt heap coals of fire on his head. 21Be not overcome of evil, but overcome evil with good.

Far better would it be for us to suffer under false accusation than to inflict upon ourselves the torture of retaliation upon our enemies. The spirit of hatred and revenge originated with Satan, and can bring only evil to him who cherishes it. Lowliness of heart, that meekness which is the fruit of abiding in Christ, is the true secret of blessing. “He will beautify the meek with salvation.” Psalm 149:4. – {Thoughts from Mount of Blessings p. 17.1}

MOSES DID NOT ONLY PRAY FOR HIS SISTER BUT ALSO PRAYED FOR HIS REBELLIOUS FOLLOWERS WHO GAVE HIM A VERY DIFFICULT TIME! WHAT AN EXAMPLE HE HAS LEFT FOR ALL WHO ARE IN LEADERSHIP. THEY ARE TO USE THEIR POSITIONS AND POWER TO BUILD AND DEVELOP OTHERS NOT TO DESTROY. EVEN THE MOST DIFFICULT PEOPLE ARE TO BE LOVED AND PRAYED FOR THEIR REBELLION IS A SILENT INDIRECT PLEA FOR YOUR PRAYERS

Exodus 32:31-33

And Moses returned unto the LORD, and said, Oh, this people have sinned a great sin, and have made them gods of gold. 32Yet now, if thou wilt forgive their sin―; and if not, blot me, I pray thee, out of thy book which thou hast written. 33And the LORD said unto Moses, Whosoever hath sinned against me, him will I blot out of my book.

Luke 6:27-28
