MANY OF US CAN TESTIFY OF MANY BROKEN PROMISES WE HAVE RECEIVED FROM BOTH FRIENDS AND FOES. HOWEVER, GOD IS NOT A MAN THAT HE SHOULD LIE OR LACK ABILITY TO FULFILL HIS WORD.

Numbers 23:19

God is not a man, that he should lie; neither the son of man, that he should repent: hath he said, and shall he not do it? or hath he spoken, and shall he not make it good?

Joshua 23:14

And, behold, this day I am going the way of all the earth: and ye know in all your hearts and in all your souls, that not one thing hath failed of all the good things which the LORD your God spake concerning you; all are come to pass unto you, and not one thing hath failed thereof.

1 Kings 8:54-58

Genesis 31:2-3

JACOB CLAIMED GOD’S PROMISE AND WAS DELIVERED FROM ESAU

“Then Jacob said, “O God of my father Abraham and God of my father Isaac, the Lord who said to me, ‘Return to your country and to your family, and I will deal well with you’: I am not worthy of the least of all the mercies and of all the truth which You have shown Your servant; for I crossed over this Jordan with my staff, and now I have become two companies. Deliver me, I pray, from the hand of my brother, from the hand of Esau; for I fear him, lest he come and attack me and the mother with the children. For You said, ‘I will surely treat you well, and make your descendants as the sand of the sea, which cannot be numbered for multitude.’ ”

Genesis 33:1-3

And Jacob lifted up his eyes, and looked, and, behold, Esau came, and with him four hundred men. And he divided the children unto Leah, and unto Rachel, and unto the two handmaids. 2And he put the handmaids and their children foremost, and Leah and her children after, and Rachel and Joseph hindermost. 3And he passed over before them, and bowed himself to the ground seven times, until he came near to his brother. 4And Esau ran to meet him, and embraced him, and fell on his neck, and kissed him: and they wept.

Hebrews 13:5-6

LET US NOT ONLY CLAIM PROMISES FOR THE TEMPORARY BUT LET US CLAIM PROMISES FOR THE ETERNAL
