Our conversation revolved around the origin of D:6 Ministries, how Paul and Kay Halfmann came to be involved in this work; and why the work of helping parents become the primary educators of their children is absolutely vital for the future of the Church...
Paul and Kay have been married for 33 years. They have seven children ranging from 15-30 years old. Paul worked as a youth minister for more than 15 years. He also ran a small business and also led Catholic Pilgrimages. Kay was a stay at home parent until all the children were in school. She worked six years as an office manager for Birthright Counseling, St. Louis and currently is the Front Office Manager at St. Pius X Catholic High School.
Together they have developed, led, and participated in hundreds of retreats including Teens Encounter Christ (TEC) Sacramental retreats, REAP Team, Life Teen, family retreats, healing retreats, chastity retreats, Luke 18 retreats and Life in the Spirit Seminars in order to help parents fulfill their God-given responsibilities as the first educators of their children.
