Sitting in a chair and noticing your breath for five minutes

Description

Here's the skill I'd like you to practice is called sitting in a chair and noticing your breath for five minutes. The best way to do this is to close your eyes and sit quietly and just be aware of your breath. Now, if your mind's like mine, you get distracted by something that's happening around you. And when that happens, just bring your brain back to thinking about your breath. This is how you practice being present. We all get distracted, so don't be unhappy about it. Just bring yourself quietly back to noticing your breath and set a timer for five minutes. This is how you practice becoming fully present and it will have such a calming effect on you. This is a fantastic skill. I love you. I'm Dan Clark.
