In this episode we do a little Opinion Scholarship on one of my favorite disciplines--comparative religion. In this case we discuss the book Jesus and Buddha: The Parallel Sayings by Marcus Borg and Jack Kornfield. We cover the stories of the lives of Jesus and Buddha as well as their teachings and show a stunning level of overlap between them. We ask the question how this could be and why? Discussing perennialism and the human condition as possible answers.
