Episode Details

Supernatural Season 2 wrap-up 💝 Berly and LA dig into the season two special features (including the very ambitious Devil's Roadmap), share the best behind-the-scenes trivia, and pick their favorite episodes of the season on Denim-wrapped Nightmares, a Supernatural rewatch podcast.

The season two DVD's Devil's Roadmap was a cool concept (a map of the country with a feature for each episode's location) with, let's say, questionable execution. But the stories inside were worth the clicking: Eric Kripke shaking up the season one formula, Linda Blair's very specific casting request, and why Sterling K. Brown was the only Gordon that worked. Plus, the writers reveal how they knew Jo would be a tough sell, and Alona Tal shares on Supernatural Then and Now (with Rob Benedict and Richard Speight Jr.) that Jo was almost revealed to be John Winchester's daughter. Dean's half sister?! We need a minute.

Episode Highlights:

• Linda Blair wanted to play a demon (of course she did)
• Jensen's signature single man tear vs. Jared's full-faced sobbing
• The first time Jared parted his hair down the middle (a historic moment)
• Tall Tales was inspired by Weekly World News, which had reached out to the show
• The real Hollywood story behind Hollywood Babylon: 1930s actress Peg Entwistle
• Jensen's newfound Polaroid habit on set (LA still thinks it's weird)
• Tiny from Folsom Prison Blues is actually the boys' real-life bodyguard
• What Is and What Should Never Be, directed by Eric Kripke himself
• Jensen staying on his knees after cut was called in the finale
• Our official stance: Ash deserved better

Our season two favorites: LA's number one is Heart, followed by Born Under a Bad Sign. Berly's number one is Tall Tales (perspectives! Bobby! the Trickster!), with a shout-out to Roadkill.
