‘A lot of dreams coming true right now’: Former Ole Miss punter Mac Brown put on a show in the XFL

In this edition of Talk of Champions, Ben Garrett is joined by former Ole Miss punter Mac Brown, who became a viral sensation with the XFL’s Orlando Guardians this season.
Brown signed with the Guardians three weeks into the XFL’s return season off a call from their head coach, Terrell Buckley, the former Ole Miss cornerbacks coach. Brown went on to complete a pair of big-gain fake-punt passes in back-to-back games to close out the year.
Both passes — including the latest, an 84-yarder on fourth-and-21 for a touchdown to former NFL tight end Jordan Thomas — went viral. Brown averaged 44.8 yards per punt this season, with a long of 60. Eight of his punts were downed inside the 20-yard-line.
He also led the XFL in yards per completion.
