A circular by the Singapore Bangladesh Society requested migrant workers to stay in their dorms for Hari Raya prayers. It said that MUIS had made the request for public health and overcrowding concerns, but many Singaporeans were outraged at what seemed like a discriminatory and xenophobic policy
