Supernatural Season 2, Episode 21, All Hell Breaks Loose, Part 1 recap 🤼 It's part one of the season two finale: Sam vanishes from a tiny roadside cafe and wakes up in a ghost town with the other special children, while the Yellow-Eyed Demon finally reveals his plan, on Denim-wrapped Nightmares, a Supernatural rewatch podcast.

Dean sends Sam in for burgers (extra onions, and PIE) but Sam never comes back. He wakes up in Cold Oak, South Dakota, an abandoned frontier town, alongside familiar faces Andy (Gabriel Tigerman) and Ava (Katharine Isabelle), plus we meet Jake (Aldis Hodge) and Lily (Jessica Harmon). Every one of them has powers, every one of them was chosen by the Yellow-Eyed Demon, and only one is supposed to walk out alive. Meanwhile, Dean and Bobby race to find Sam, and the Roadhouse has some devastating news waiting for them.

• Andy's charm, even in a ghost town (we love him)
• Andy's giant bags of salt (he was SO proud)
• Jake, the soldier with super strength (and bad news for Sam's shoulder)

In the lore segment, we dig into the Acheri, the ghost of a little girl said to dwell in the hills by day, then descend at night to spread illness to children, and why people wore red to protect themselves. Plot twist: often called Native American folklore, the Acheri is actually traced by historians to the Kumaon region of the Himalayas.
