Episode 226: “Nuke You Like A Hurricane” This week Host Dave Bledsoe has some ideas to avert the apocalypse of paying his bar tabs, mostly involving wearing a hat and hoping the bartender doesn’t recognize him. (He’s tried it before, didn’t work) On the show this week, we look at some of the ideas for saving the planet from Climate Change, ironically enough, involving giant space hats. (Think. Huge. Hats.) Along the way we take the obligatory excursion to explain for the slow and dimwitted folk who don’t understand science or indeed much of anything why you cannot nuke a hurricane. We also posit that the Jetsons ruined an entire generation, but this is hardly surprising to anyone who's ever watched the Jetsons. Once we get to the point, we look at all the various ideas to save humanity from its own stupidity when the global thermostat breaks. (Except for, you know, the ideas that would WORK but people find inconvenient.) Every single suggestion detailed in this show is one actual scientists have suggested using to solve the problem. (We cannot attest they were not drunk when they thought of them.) Finally, we wrap up with our highly scientific theory for what will actually be done by humanity to save themselves.
