Steve Jobs was an American entrepreneur, inventor, and industrial designer, widely recognized as a pioneer of the personal computer revolution. He co-founded Apple Inc. with Steve Wozniak in 1976 and played a key role in the development of the Apple II, Macintosh, iPod, iPhone, and iPad, among other products. He also co-founded and served as CEO of Pixar Animation Studios, which produced some of the most successful animated films of all time, including Toy Story, Finding Nemo, and The Incredibles.

Born in San Francisco, California in 1955, Jobs dropped out of college after six months and traveled to India in search of spiritual enlightenment. He returned to the United States and started working at Atari Inc. before founding Apple with Wozniak. Jobs was known for his perfectionism, innovation, and marketing skills, and became one of the most influential figures in the technology industry. He was also a controversial figure, known for his difficult personality and contentious relationships with colleagues.

Jobs was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer in 2003 and underwent a liver transplant in 2009. He resigned as CEO of Apple in August 2011 due to health complications, and passed away on October 5, 2011, at the age of 56. Despite his relatively short life, Jobs' impact on the technology industry and popular culture was profound, and he is widely regarded as one of the most important and influential figures of the modern era.
