This is Play That Rock n' Roll's interview with producer (and author!) Mark Howard about his new book, "RECORDING ICONS / CREATIVE SPACES: The Creative World of Mark Howard". In this conversation, we talk about how he put this book together and what got him started in photography. We talk about his work with Bob Dylan and Daniel Lanois on Dylan's "Oh Mercy" and "Time Out of Mind" albums. He tells us about working with Neil Young on his 2010 "Le Noise" album, and he also shares stories about his recording sessions with Robert Plant, Iggy Pop, and Tom Waits.
