If someone is falling behind in life, you don’t have to remind them. Believe me, they already know.
If someone is unhealthy, they know. If someone is struggling in their relationship, with money, with self-image, they know. It’s what they think about each day.
What you need to do for those who are struggling is not remind them, but encourage them. Tell them what is good about them, love them as they are.
When we can’t see clearly for ourselves, we don’t need others to speak down to us, telling us what is wrong with us and our lives. We already know. We all just need reassurance that we can still make it better.
