The end of the WGC era closed down in Austin as Sam Burns defeated Cameron Young 6 and 5 to win the Match Play Championship. Both finalists needed extra holes to win their semifinal matches on Sunday morning as Burns defeated Scottie Scheffler while Young outlasted Rory McIlroy. We show some appreciation for Austin Country Club, look back at the entire week's action and eulogize our favorite moments from the WGC era in professional golf.
