Arron Asham on The Cam and Strick Podcast

Episode 104 Published 5 years, 4 months ago
Description

Arron Asham is tough as shit. Sorry but that’s the best way to and probably the only way to put it. He played nearly 800 NHL games and had 3 seasons with over 100 penalty minutes. If his name doesn’t immediately ring a bell, you probably remember his notorious knockout of Jay Beagle and his “sleep” celebration right afterwards.  He still feels bad about that by the way. He shared with us his experience and unique perspective from growing up indigenous, the problems his community faces, and how that shaped his career. He played for both the Islanders and Rangers, Montreal, Pittsburgh, Philadelphia, and New Jersey.  He’s the only player to score for every team in the Atlantic division.  We cover his experience with a young Sidney Crosby, numerous fights with Cam, his battle with substance abuse, and excessive partying. That and much more on this edition of the Cam and Strick Podcast.
