Sunshine Classics has certainly gone through a lot. Headed by pianist Mariel Ilusorio, the series premiered last year, was postponed due to the pandemic, and then moved online. More than just surviving, the series positively thrived, and has even returned for a second season. In anticipation of the next concert of Sunshine Classics 2021, MAESTRO FILIPINO features its latest installment, Singing in Sunshine. Joining DZFE’s Daniel are soprano Stefanie Quintin-Avila and tenor Ivan Nery, who give us a sample from their all-French program.
