MAESTRO FILIPINO 22 1015 | Young Voices of the Philippines: Katha
Description
After about a decade of work, Jude and Ma. Theresa Roldan, with the Young Voices of the Philippines, released KATHÂ. KATHÂ is the first in a series of collections of Filipino folk songs arranged for treble choir—a much-needed addition to the treble choir repertoire, and a welcome resource in the preservation of Philippine folk music. KATHÂ also serves a more pressing need: its proceeds will help finance the Young Voices of the Philippines’ long-awaited performance at Carnegie Hall next year. The Roldans tell us more on MAESTRO FILIPINO with DZFE’s Daniel.
MAESTRO FILIPINO is DZFE's program on the Philippine classical music scene.
