While in prison, Darren Murinas took a cooking class where he was encouraged to be a peer mentor, and upon release his passion for helping others using his lived experience grew. Eventually Darren founded Expert Citizens CIC, an organisation that puts lived experience at its core to help improve services using the expertise of those who’ve been there.
