In the final part of this three part series, we continue enhancing tier one planning practices by developing the skill of designing aligned learning objectives. Aligned learning objectives should be a first step in lesson planning. Aligned learning objectives provide students with part of the route on their journey toward academic mastery. Learning objectives are done ‘for students’ and ensure educators are accountable for aligned instructional moves.
