The Serenity Prayer provides insights on both personal and interpersonal conflict. 

Many know the poem credited to the American theologian, Reinhold Niebuhr, and that’s how we hear about the inner conflict in trying to follow its hopes. A different challenge lies in the interpersonal conflicts of different perspectives about what is impossible to change, and the courage to change what can be changed. It may take true wisdom to convince someone else to change their perspective to yours.

God, grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change,

courage to change the things I can,

and wisdom to know the difference.
