Are ya stressed? Overwhelmed? Anxious about so much going on in your mind and schedule and space? It's hard to have mental peace when surrounded by visual clutter. Prioritizing getting rid of clutter reclaims our time and reduces decision fatigue!

Do you ever NOT want to go home? Studies have shown that visual clutter can make you dread going home or sleeping in your bedroom. A cluttered bedroom can cause sleep disturbances. When you're surrounded by what your brain thinks is unmade decisions, then it's hard to rest and rejuvenate in the place that is supposed to be a haven.

Today I chat with my friend and podcaster Emily McDermott on how you can improve your mental health in college through decluttering and minimalism. Find more mental peace through listening to this episode!

How to declutter:

  1. Start with the most unemotional and unsentimental place. Proceed from easiest place to declutter, to hardest emotional place. --> 
  2. Car
  3. Bathroom
  4. Pantry, etc.
  5. Leave clothes and books and sentimental stuff to the end.
  6. Just do 15 mins at a time!
