Christa Hyson is a public health and risk communications professional dedicated to advancing health education, creating sustainable social and environmental changes and passing policies to improve health outcomes. Christa talks about her untraditional route to her calling to help people through public health. Christa got Bachelors of Communication and PR at Xavier University. She then went on to work at an Architecture Firm and then as the Associate Technical Director for Xavier University  and as a Testing Examiner/Education Counselor at US Army. Christa went on to get her Master of Public Health  at the University of Florida. She now works as  Senior Manager, External Relations/PIO at The Health Collaborative.
