Dr. Lucius Pomerantz is a board certified orthopedic surgeon and hand specialist living in San Diego, CA. "Dr Luke" is a former MMA fighter and Black Belt in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu who trains at Victory MMA with the legendary Dean Lister and Jocko Willink.
Dr Luke and I discuss how an orthopedic surgeon found his way to the MMA ring, the time his MMA training forced him to become a patient in his own hospital, the similarities of practicing medicine and training BJJ and how to minimize injury and have longevity on mat.
