Following degrees from the University of Manchester and Manchester Metropolitan University, Sophie is currently studying for a PhD in creative writing and folklore at Sheffield Hallum University. She won a Northern Writers' Award in 2017 and has published a biography of musician, Eliza Carthy, and co-wrote the autobiography of endurance athlete Dave Heeley." In this Spoken Label episode, we talk about her work with Mosley Writers and The Tameside Workshop in addition to her debut novel historical fiction ' Out of Human Sight'.
