Description

Cannabis and Pets: Effects on our furry friends!

Scene: Your dog or cat just ate your edible! What do you do?

-It’s easy to forget that they have completely different digestive system then humans but do they have cb1 and cb2 receptors?

-Dogs and cats have been shown to have a higher number of the CB1 receptors in the brain compared to humans.

-Reminder: CB1 receptors are responsible for affecting the mind, alerting the mood, and the overall “high” feeling of marijuana. THC has a higher affinity for CB1 receptors, so marijuana often affects dogs and cats more than humans.
