Be your own best friend.

Published 3 years ago
Description

I want to know how kind you are to yourself. Do you treat yourself like you would treat a friend? Well, yeah, I've heard; I'm just going to tell them what I think because they don't need to know the truth. Well, that's judgmental because you're telling them what you think. That's not what I'm asking. I'm asking, Are you kind and gentle? Are you forgiving? Do you give your friends grace? Are you gentle to yourself? Do you allow yourself to learn something you don't know when something doesn't go well, and give yourself the grace to learn the new skill you didn't understand a moment ago when things didn't go? Well? Your ability to be kind and gentle and loving yourself? Being your friend is precisely how your life will go. Suppose you want life to go better. Become more aware of what you say to yourself and change that to friendly talk. Be friends with yourself. Give yourself room and grace. That's not permitting yourself to do continually inappropriate or wrong things. It simply means being kind to yourself when you do and correcting who you are to become your best self. I love you. I'm Dan Clark.
