Elyse O’Kane is a wife, mother and teacher and Catholic singer and songwriter. She has used her musical talents to lead liturgical music groups and has been music ministry chairwoman for the Joyful Visitation Mgnificat Chapter in Atlanta, GA.  In 1991 she wrote a joyous melody to Mary’s Magnificat which has become the theme song for the Magnificat Ministry. Her friends encouraged her to record the many songs she composed but because of her fears of inadequacy she was reluctant but with the love and support of her prayer community she received the courage tor record her first CD. Her testimony will tell how God prepared her for this ministry through a number of personal challenges that allowed her to experience the love of Jesus and his healing power. Through it all she learned how God can and will do extraordinary things with ordinary people. All he needs is our ‘Fiat’, our ‘Yes’.
