Architecture education and the political agenda
Description
Discussion on the architecture design thesis projects based on context-specific from 2016, focused on Kg Baru, Bukit Ceylon, Kg Kerinchi, Petaling Jaya old town, and UM Campus where the design problems were identified and were made challenges during the design process and how the recent political discussion and proposal on values and ideas such as TVET were dealt in those design thesis projects. Arguably justifying the means of doing these types of projects, which are more relevant than those fantastical ideas which are out of touch with society’s concerns.

Photo credit ©️ Universiti Malaya, Author: Amirul Hakim Ismar's TVET school has been addressed in the recent past of 15 years or so, by ministers and has been a subject of debate and is proposed to be the answer to unemployment and school leavers. The designer showed statistics and diagrams of the issues.
