Now Mississippi State resumes Reliaquest Bowl practices with defensive coordinator Zach Arnett's promotion to head coach. This was no hasty act, State regarded Arnett highly enough to give an unprecedented contract last summer. He takes over a SEC program and days ahead of December 21 signings for a class critical to Mississippi State future. The athletic director search has been delayed into January with finalists interviews rescheduled.
