In 1974, the Texas Rangers came to town to play the Cleveland Indians, one week after they had a bench-clearing brawl in Texas. Fans were whipped up into a frenzy before their arrival, but worse, the game took place on a pre-scheduled promotional night that sold beer for 10 cents a cup. The result was a day that lives on in infamy.
