Description

Today while driving, I was aware that I wasn't listening to anything. I was practicing just being present. And I know you know how hard that is. Because when we're driving, there's always something going on. We're either thinking about something, worrying, or having a problem we want to solve and or listening to music, or like me, I'm listening to a book. But today, I did none of that and had a good 35-minute drive and was driving, noticing the traffic and the vehicles coming toward me. And even though it's winter, and things are brown, just how things looked and the businesses as they went by and looking at the fence and the animals in the field was enjoyable. That's called being present. I love being present. And it was a pleasant experience for me. Now, I don't get bored very often, either. And sometimes I feel like that. If I feel like I'm going to get bored, I have to do something. Well, not being bored is paying attention to what's happening around you. So today, practice being aware of the things around you and notice them. Take a few moments and slow down. I love you. I'm Dan Clark.
