Prison and jail calls have astronomical rates. In some states an average 15 minute call can be $5 or higher. These high rates often force families to make tough decisions regarding how to pay for calls from love ones who are incarcerated. In this episode of The Peoples Voice with host Trey Evans I discuss the cost of calls from jail and prison, some of the companies who control the market, the reason why cost are so high and solutions that are being created to alleviate this issue.
