SUSIE DENT IS HERE!

Season 2 Episode 14 Published 3 years, 4 months ago
Description

Well, they said it would never happen. and by "they" we mean "Dave Moore".

But "they" were wrong. Queen of Dictionary Corner on Countdown, Susie Dent, is the guest on this week's podcast and she is brilliant.

Susie explains the rules of English that we know but we don't even know we know, the origin of the word "syphilis", why we say Zig Zag and not Zag Zig and why Shakespeare couldn't even spell his own name! If that's not enough, in part 1, Neil tells Dave about the 750-year-old Korean national treasure that war, insects and humidity couldn't destroy. Plus, it still works today! Did we mention Susie Dent is on the show?
