Ep #154: Grow Your Career in 2023 by Focusing on Contentment

For me, 2022 was a year of contentment. Not contentment as in: No longer striving for something more (which is what I used to believe contentment was). But contentment as in: Being incredibly happy with where I am and growing and achieving so much more from a place of desire instead of need. And when I look back over the year my clients inside of Executive Ahead of Time and The Leadership Table have had, I see this same kind of contentment. The work that we are doing made their next promotions inevitable. And so getting promoted wasn’t a feeling of need, but a feeling of…’of course.’ Because when you know in your bones that you are great, that you have what it takes to get promoted to those executive levels, and when you know that your next promotion is just the beginning of the impact you are here to make in the world, everything comes together – and it feels so, so good.
